Chef Q’s career spans over 25 years and showcases a remarkable range of experiences. From his early days cooking in his mother’s kitchen alongside nine siblings, to serving in the U.S. Navy, owning his own restaurant, and working in private and corporate establishments, Chef Q has mastered his craft across diverse settings. His culinary prowess has taken him to various locations around the world, including prestigious spots like Universal and Paramount Studios.

 

Chef Q’s impressive list of celebrity clientele includes former President Bill Clinton, Grammy winners CeCe, BeBe, and Marvin Winans, designer Diane Valentine, comedian Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer, D.L. Hughley, multi-Grammy winner Donnie McClurkin, and stars from The Moesha Show, The Jamie Foxx Show, and Hollywood Exes TV Show, among many others. His broad and knowledgeable experience in the culinary industry is evident in every dish he creates.

 

Chef Q was also a key player in the successful launch of Echo & Rig Steakhouse, where he served as Executive Chef. In October 2019, he embraced the opportunity to open his own restaurant, Q1227, in Roseville, CA. Here, he has crafted a dining experience that reflects his Southern roots while celebrating California’s fresh ingredients.
